The AWI Phoenix Panel System was developed to economically upgrade existing underdrain systems and provides two main functions:

1.  Eliminates the need for base gravel layers

2.  Improves distribution of backwash flows

The Phoenix Panel System installs in-filter directly over the existing filter underdrain system, including: 

• Plastic & clay tile block
• False bottom with strainer nozzles
• Wheeler bottom type underdrains
